For an L-shape, add the adjoining rack’s depth along the connection direction. A 1500mm rack plus a 500mm adjoining depth uses 2000mm. For a U-shape, the middle rack joins two outer runs: add both outer depths. For example, 1200 + 400 + 400 = 2000mm. The planner applies the same rule when rotated and calculates each rack’s wall distances from the drawing.
